Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

When Lu Qiang and Jiang Yang reached inside the gazebo, both Lu sisters excused themselves as they had to wake up early the next day, leaving these three in the gazebo.

"It's been a long time since we are here. Nothing has changed," Jiang Yang commented, looking around inside the gazebo.

Jiang Yuyan and Lu Qiang both nodded, and just then again, Jiang Yang's cell phone rang.

"I am observing nowadays you are getting so many calls. What's the Matter?" Jiang Yuyan asked, looking at her brother suspiciously.

"What can I say. My beautiful patients in the USA still miss this handsome doctor. Excuse me, but it's an emergency call from the hospital." Saying, Jiang Yang left the gazebo leaving only these two behind.

Jiang Yuyan didn't know what to talk about, so she just sat there and looked here and there. 

Lu Qiang knew something was not right with her, so this time he didn't tease her. 

Sitting beside her by leaving a space between them and facing the same direction, Lu Qiang asked, "Are you alright?" and turned his face to look at her.

He sounded serious, opposite of how he acted with her in the party, and it surprised her.

"What can happen to me?" She replied, not looking back at him.

"Is it because you don't want to stay here in Lu Mansion, or is it because of me?" Lu Qiang asked.

"No! It's just because of me." Saying, she lowered her eyes to stare at the floor.

Lu Qiang didn't ask much further because after talking to Jiang Yang, he could guess there was something that bothered her, and she won't open herself soon, so he changed the topic. 

"How have you been all these years? Haven't you missed me?" He wanted to listen 'Yes' but...

"Well, I....." 

She didn't know how to reply to him because he didn't want to say 'No' and couldn't say 'Yes'.

"But I missed you," he said without waiting for her reply.

These simple few words from Lu Qiang touched her heart, but she chose to be silent. She didn't expect to have such a normal conversation with him because of his flirty behavior before, and his words 'I missed you' surprised her even more.

Jiang Yang arrived and realized that both were silent, especially his sister. 

Seeing her brother, Jiang Yuyan, stood up, "Both of you continue your talk. I'll take my leave." 

She left the gazebo, realizing those three words struck to her heart, but she didn't want to acknowledge it.

Sitting beside Lu Qiang, Jiang Yang said, "Don't worry! I am sure she will open up to you one day; just behave the way you did till now."

Lu Qiang gave him a questioning look to know what exactly Jiang Yang meant.

"I mean what you did while dancing and when you were in the gazebo," Jiang Yang explained.

"Are you asking me to be a Pervert?" Lu Qiang asked.

"Exactly," Jiang Yang replied, smiling, without any hesitation.

Lu Qiang looked in the direction of Jiang Yuyan, who sat alone on the bench under the tree and looked like in deep thought.

"How's Lu Feng? I couldn't talk to him much, but he looked different. I mean very silent and isolated," Jiang Yang asked.

Lu Qiang nodded, "Hmm, after father's accident, everything changed between both of us too. He suddenly stopped talking to everyone and isolated himself from the family and the business too."

This surprised Jiang Yang, as he asked, "From business too? But his dream was to become like your father and help him with the business. I still remember his words full of determination."

"I know, and after father's accident, I expected him to join the company and work for his dream as I was not interested in business, but he declined it and left home to stay at the school's dormitory. He hardly came back home."

"Really?"

"Hmm! After his master's degree, he even rejected any kind of financial support from the family. He never received any help, and I still don't know what he does to earn the money."

"That's strange!"

"Once I asked him about his work, but he said nothing much except for one thing that he won't do anything that tarnished the name of our family. Its been seven years, and he never even once stepped into the Lu Corporation's office."

"Isn't there any way to find out what happened?"

"I tried, but I had to give up," Lu Qiang replied, and Jiang Yang waited to hear everything.

Lu Qiang continued, "Once he even rented an apartment and moved in there, but Grandpa brought him back by assuring he can do whatever he wanted, live the way that suits him and nobody will ever question him. He couldn't say no to Grandpa and came back. Also, there was one more reason for him to come back, and that was Lu Lijun." 

Lu Qiang never shared these things with anyone before, but having Jiang Yang back was like a relief for him, while Jiang Yang too heard him sincerely.

Jiang Yang sighed as he commented, "It looks like so much had changed that year."

"How come you became a doctor when you always wished to study space science. I guess that's the reason your family decided to settle in the USA."

"That year, just like you two brothers, our lives changed too, but everything is related to Yuyan, and only she can tell you about it."

"Hmm!"

Jiang Yang looked like he remembered something and continued, "That particular year was like living hell for us, especially for Yuyan. Since then, my life revolves only around her and hers around me. But now I want her to be on her own."

Listening to it, Lu Qiang looked at Jiang Yuyan as he thought, 'what happened with you, Yuyan?'

Realizing what Lu Qiang must be thinking, Jiang Yang assured, "Don't worry, she is fine now."

Just then, Lu Feng arrived in his car. Elder Lu called him, so he walked towards everyone instead of going back to the mansion. On the way, he saw Jiang Yuyan sitting on the one corner of the bench under the tree, which was Lu Feng's usual place to spend his time alone. He stopped and looked at her, but she didn't realize it as she was busy in her world.
