Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

Chapter 57: I Will Wait For The Day...

When his sister didn't return for a long time, Jiang Yang felt a little worried and excused himself.

Standing in front of the washroom, he knocked on the door. In a while, Jiang Yuyan stepped out and saw her brother standing opposite the washroom's door while resting his back at the wall.

Jiang Yang didn't fail to his sister's moist eyes, which she tried to hide by not looking at him, but there was no use as he knew his sister well.

"Are you okay?" he asked, not enquiring much.

Not looking at him, Jiang Yuyan nodded.

Jiang Yang hugged her as he patted her head gently, "We will talk about it later when we are at home."

She nodded, and both went back to the living room.

When these two returned, their mother looked at Jiang Yang like asking, 'What happened?'

He lightly shook his head and smiled as saying Nothing, and the siblings sat on their respective seats.

Lu Qiang noticed the change in Jiang Yuyan and her moist eyes too. He wanted to ask her, 'Is she okay?' but just then, his sisters and Lu Lijun came downstairs.

All three greeted the Jiang family, and Lu Lijun sat beside his brother in the space between Jiang Yuyan and Lu Qiang. He was still not happy seeing Jiang Yuyan and that too she was sitting beside his brother.

Lu Bao and Lu Lian started to chat with Jiang siblings as they couldn't do it properly on the previous day. All four exchanged their Mobile numbers, but Lu Qiang was busy with Lu Lijun to discuss his preparation for a summer camp for which he had to leave the next morning.

The butler Xu Dui came out from the dining room to inform that dinner was ready.

All Lu family members sat on their chairs with elder Lu in the head of the family chair, and Lu Qiang was sitting on the chair at another end of the dining table, exactly opposite his grandpa. Like always, Lu Lijun sat beside his brother on his left side.

Jiang Peizhi and his wife sat on Lu Chen and his wife's chairs. Jiang Yang sat on the right side of Lu Qiang with Jiang Yuyan next to him.

Lu Lijun was smiling and talking to his brother, and like always, Lu Qiang was listening to everything carefully while filling Lu LiJun's dish with food.

Jiang Yang and Jiang Yuyan found it a familiar scene as Jiang Yang always used to do the same for his sister when she was around the same age as Lu Lijun. Both looked at each other and smiled. They at least understood one thing that these Lu siblings' relationship is quite similar to theirs.

After dinner, everyone went to the garden. Elders sat on the chairs in the sitting area while these youngsters went to the Gazebo.

Ning Jiahui called Lu Lijun and asked him to go to sleep as he had to go for summer camp the next morning. He obeyed and went to his room with Lu Qiang following him. Jiang siblings and Lu sisters stayed back in the Gazebo.

Lu Bao looked in both brothers' direction, "Lu Lijun still can't sleep without brother Lu Qiang."

"It's not always, Lu Bao. Brother Lu Qiang is like a father to him. He was away for so many days; that's why he went with him to make up for it," Lu Lian countered.

"I know! But soon he will get married, then what will he do?" Lu Bao asked.

"He will get married to someone who can understand their situation."

"I hope so!"

Jiang siblings listened to their conversation and looked at each other, thinking about what situation but didn't ask anything. Three girls were chatting for a long time while Jiang Yang was on a call from the US hospital.

After some time, Lu Qiang returned, and Jiang Yang went to him as he finished his call.

Both walked on the lawn while conversing as they didn't get much time before to know more about each other's present conditions.

"How have you been all these years?" Jiang Yang asked,

"Just as you can see," Lu Qiang replied.

"It must have been tough for you to handle everything after uncle's accident," Jiang Yang commented.

"Hmm!"

"Father informed me, but I am sorry I couldn't contact you. I was troubled with other problems." Jiang Yang looked apologetic.

"It's okay," said Lu Qiang as he added, "I always wonder, what happened suddenly that you and Yuyan never contacted me after your last call from the USA when you said Yuyan was not well. I never got any news about you two."

"Umm, that's quite complicated," Jiang Yang replied.

"Is it about Yuyan?"

Jiang Yang nodded, "Hmm!"

"What happened?" Lu Qiang asked worriedly.

"Well, I wish to share it with you, but I guess it's her life and her decision whether she wants to tell about it to someone or not. If you still want to know about it, then I can tell you."

Though these friends were away for a long time, they still had trust in each other. Jiang Yang wanted to trust Lu Qiang with his sister as he knew how much Lu Qiang cared for her in the past, and in the present, Jiang Yang could see the love for his sister in Lu Qiang's eyes.

"No! It's okay. I can understand."

Lu Qiang declined the offer as what Jiang Yang said was right; it was up to her whether she wished to tell anyone about her matters.

"Lu Qiang!" Jiang Yang suddenly called his name and stopped in his track while Lu Qiang waited to hear him.

"One day, If she opens herself to you and talks about what happened in the past, consider it as she trusts you a lot," Jiang Yang said while looking into his eyes to show how much he trusted Lu Qiang.

"I'll wait for that day," Lu Qiang assured.

"I know, and I already trust you."

Both looked at Jiang Yuyan, who was busy with Lu sisters, and both went to the Gazebo too.
