Young Brother-in-law Is Now My Husband

When Lu Qiang sat beside Jiang Yuyan, she could smell the shower gel scent on his body that made her feel very different and inhaled deeply without realizing it. 

She felt trapped as Lu Qiang sat to one side and, on the other side, sat her brother, who wouldn't let go of a chance to tease her. To avoid these two men, she chose to fix her sight towards the floor and bear it for a while, but her brother wouldn't let her be. 

Jiang Yang leaned closer to her and whispered. "I think your olfactory sensory neurons are troubling you."

"Hmm, they seem to be very active right now," she said without hesitation to admit what was happening to her. 

After the chat with her brother last night, she was comfortable with him talking about such things. Also, she believed it was impossible hiding anything from her doctor brother, who had excellent observation skills.

When Lu Qiang sat there, elders were busy in their talk of old times. 

Suddenly Lu Jinhai looked at his son, "Lu Qiang! Jiang Yuyan enrolled in the same University, where you studied business management."

"Hmm! That's good." Lu Qiang didn't react much.

"You can help her with the things related to the University and her studies as you are the ex-student there." Lu Jinhai suggested.

"Sure!" Saying it, Lu Qiang moved his sight towards the one sitting beside him. 

"Cough-Cough! Looking at him, she thought 'N...No way! You will distract me from my studies and will make things difficult for me.' Then she looked at her brother with pitiful expressions.

Jiang Yang smiled teasingly and thought, 'All the, best sister.' He was enjoying this.

"It's ok, Uncle. I...I'll manage. He must be already busy with his office work," Jiang Yuyan said.

"What are you talking about, sis? He is our childhood friend. He can at least do this much for you." Jiang Yang said it and looked at Lu Qiang, "Am I right?"

Lu Qiang nodded, "Hmm! If she needs it." 

Ning Jiahui spoke as she looked at her son and then at Jiang Yuyan, "Of course he will help her," she got back to Mo Ruolan, "But, where is she going to stay? As I know, your current residence is on the other side of the city, and it's too far from the University." 

Lu Qiang's and Jiang YuYan's mothers were good friends, too, as they knew each other for a long time.

"We have arranged her stay at University dormitory," Mo Ruolan replied, not realizing that her words made certain someone upset.

"What? My love will stay in the dormitory when she already has her home here, this Lu Mansion? No... I won't allow it." That certain someone was elder Lu, who exclaimed loudly.

Jiang Peizhi tried to explain. "Father! I have checked everything there, and the dormitory is good. She will be comfortable there."

"So, you mean to say she will be comfortable there more than here in Lu Mansion?" Elder Lu countered, his voice loud.

Jiang Peizhi felt loss for words, "N..No father. I was just....." He couldn't even finish his sentence as Grandma Zhao Shuang interrupted him.

"Jiang Peizhi, I agree with the decision of Yuyan's stay in the Lu Mansion. Why stay outside when she has us as her family and this house. We will take care of her. Rest assured." 

Zhao Shuang's words were equally important to everyone as her husband elder Lu's words.

Seeing his wife supporting him, elder Lu felt glad, "So it's final. Yuyan will stay here in Lu mansion. If anyone has a problem, then they can bang their head on that wall." 

Elder Lu pointed his finger towards the wall opposite, "I won't change my decision" and folded his hands in front of his chest with severe expressions on his face.

Elder Lu was an expert in using his authority of an elder in the house. He knew nobody could dare to cross him. His wife, the only person who had the power to do so, agreed with him too.

Jiang Yang whispered to his sister, "Yuyan! Go and bang your head on that wall."

Jiang Yuyan was still in shock with what had just happened. A moment before, she refused to take Lu Qiang's help, and now she had to stay with him in this mansion under the same roof. 

She thought, 'Just not acceptable. I have a problem with it, grandpa' but she couldn't muster up the courage to say it in front of elder Lu and mumbled to herself, "I am doomed," to which her brother replied, "I think so too!" and he smiled.

Lu Jianhi sided with his father, "Father is right, Jiang Peizhi!. She will stay at Lu Mansion. University is near this place, and I'll arrange a special car and a driver for her so that she won't face any problem with transportation." 

"I think your brain is still working fine, my son, which I doubted before." Elder Lu was happy with what his son said.

Jiang Peizhi and Mo Ruolan looked at their daughter, who was in a little shock. They asked, "What do you say, Yuyan?"

"Mom! I...."

"Of course, she will love to stay here, Mom!" Jiang Yang said it before she could say anything. 

He knew his sister would try to decline it, but he also knew that she had to stay here because of grandpa Lu's decision. He also wanted her to be with Lu Qiang and spend time with him, and for that, he had his reasons which were only known to him.

When Jiang Yuyan heard her brother, she felt like to curse him there, but she couldn't do anything but just frown. Her lips moved to say 'Yes,' but her head was moving like saying 'No.'

All this time, Lu Qiang was calm, without reacting to anything. When his grandpa issued the royal decree, he was the happiest person there. His inside was exploding with happiness, and he wanted to get up and hug his grandpa tightly. But, after being in a business field for all these years, he became skilled in hiding his true self.

Everyone was happy with the decision, except for Jiang Yuyan. She was upset about being affected by Lu Qiang's presence around her, and that was the main reason she didn't want to stay in Lu Mansion. 

Excusing herself, she went to the washroom. As soon as she entered, she cursed herself while standing in front of a massive mirror above the washbasin.

"What and why is this happening to me? I can't get close to anyone ever. But...But his presence always affects my determination. No-no-no! I can't let it happen. I can't go back to where I started." She tried to get deep breaths again and again and said herself to calm down. 

"I can't let him get close to me. Yes! I have to draw a line between both of us if I have to stay here. But...Why...Why his touch and his being close to me don't feel bad? It should not be like this. I should hate it. Right?"

She splashed water on her face again and again, then stood there for a few minutes with her face drenched in water, her hands resting on the wash basin's platform as she continued to stare at her own reflection in the mirror.
