Lu Qiang averted his sight from this shameless man, picked up chopsticks and started to dig in his food.

Jiang Yang couldn't help but laugh, "I got one more candidate whom I can annoy and enjoy my free time."

Lu Qiang ignored him and continued eating.

After lunch, both returned to Lu Qiang's office, feeling tired as it was summer, and they stuck in traffic. On the way back to the office, they planned what to do next. 

Lu Qiang took Jiang Yang to the lounge in his office to rest as they sat lazily on the couch, resting their legs on the center table.

Jiang Yang closed his eyes as he sighed deeply, "Shopping for women is tiresome, isn't it?"

Lu Qiang loosened his tie, "I don't mind draining my energy to do anything for her."

Jiang Yang smiled mischievously while his eyes were closed and said, "Drain something for me too. My head is hurting. Massage it with your beautiful and delicate hands".

Lu Qiang closed his eyes as he said, "My beautiful and delicate hands would love to strangle your neck instead."

"I don't mind to die in the hands of beauty," Jiang Yang commented just to receive a warning from his friend.

"Be quiet and rest, or I will throw you out of this building."

"Oh! My darling is angry. I'll be quiet now," Jiang Yang teased as nothing could stop him.

Ignoring him, Lu Qiang preferred to rest instead of having a word battle with a stubborn person. In a while, the assistant Xiao Min brought cold drinks for them. Lu Qiang passed one to Jiang Yang and took another for himself.

"I tried to contact Lu Feng, but he is not reachable. Where is he?" Jiang Yang asked as he enjoyed the drink.

Lu Qiang took a sip of a drink, "Even, I don't know. I never ask him about anything."

"I planned to call him for the birthday celebration," Jiang Yang informed.

"Keep trying. It would be good if he comes."

Jiang Yang nodded, "Yeah! I will drop a message to him. By the way, Have you decided on the place?"

Lu Qiang replied, "Yes!"

"So, when are you leaving to get Yuyan?"

"W..What?" 

Lu Qiang exclaimed, hearing it as it was not in his plan. He thought Jiang Yang would be the one to bring her.

Jiang Yang gave him a questioning look, "What...What?"

Lu Qiang instructed in a firm voice, which was more of an order, "You will get her, not me."

Jiang Yang wasn't affected by his warning and smirked, "Today I am feeling too lazy. I just want to rest in your super stylish and luxurious office lounge. I am tired, darling."

Lu Qiang was nervous about facing Jiang Yuyan alone, "How can I…"

"Is this bed comfortable?" Interrupting Lu Qiang, Jiang Yang asked while moving towards the bed in a lounge, 

"Yes! It is." 

Lu Qiang was troubled to think that he had to bring Jiang Yuyan from her home, so he couldn't understand what Jiang Yang was up to and replied immediately, forgetting what he was asking Jiang Yang.

Jiang Yang smiled to see him puzzled and climbed the bed, "Okay then, I will rest on this comfortable bed."

Lu Qiang glared as he exclaimed, "What? No! You need to go and bring h….."

Before Lu Qiang could finish his line, Jiang Yang said in a playful tone, "I am so tired, baby." He patted the bed and asked smiling teasingly, "Do you want to join me, darling?" 

Before Lu Qiang could stop him, Jiang Yang lay on the bed, turned on to one side showing his back to Lu Qiang, and slept while hugging a pillow.

Lu Qiang was too annoyed by Jiang Yang's behavior and couldn't do anything but frown, "What the F**K!" Cursing, he went straight to the bathroom in the lounge to shower and closed the bathroom door harshly. 

"Slam!!"

Hearing the loud sound of door slamming, Jiang Yang smiled and mumbled to himself, "I guess, I will enjoy this," and closed his eyes, carrying a pleasant smile on his face.

After having a bath, Lu Qiang came out of the bathroom with a towel circling his waist.

He wore a black suit and got ready to bring Jiang Yuyan as it was already an evening. He asked assistant Xiao Min to put those two gift boxes in the car and drove to Jiang Residence.

When Lu Qiang reached there, carrying the two boxes from the car, he entered the elevator, and the next moment he started to feel anxious. When he got out of the elevator and stepped towards the Jiang residence, with each step, he could feel his heart beating even faster. 

Standing in front of the apartment's door, he took a deep breath and patted the left side of his chest to calm himself.

Finally, he gathered his courage and pressed the bell. When the door opened, and he saw Jiang Yuyan standing in front of him, his heart was almost ready to jump from his chest. 

But when he noticed Jiang Yuyan was equally surprised seeing him, he found time to collect himself and pretended that he was alright and tried his best to keep himself calm after entering the home.

Noticing Jiang Yuyan's hesitating behavior, he initiated the conversation. He passed gift boxes to her but didn't wish her happy birthday as he had another plan in his mind.

When he returned downstairs from Jiang Yuyan's room, he felt relief and tried to calm himself down. He waited for Jiang Yuyan to get ready and come downstairs as he leaned back on the sofa and closed his eyes. 

Slowly time passed by, and then he heard a sound of footsteps coming from the direction of the staircase.

Opening his eyes, he looked in the direction of the staircase, and the next moment his expression changed. 

He couldn't help but get up from the sofa and felt like in a daze as the sound of footsteps got clearer and closer to him, and he continued looking at the person stepping towards him.
