The two gossiping jerks who were the cause of her anger had run away, leaving Jin Siming to face her doorless stall alone with an upset heart.

Would the school count this as an act of vandalism?

She frowned, the corners of her mouth drooping downwards. She lifted the door she had kicked off its hinges and held it up against the now empty gap in the stall. She quickly came to the conclusion that she has no ideas how to put the door back on her own.

She leaned the broken door against the wall as she sighed softly and left the bathroom.

Might as well return to the classroom and report this matter to the class president and see what they can do about it…..

It was the passing period between classes right now, so many people walked to and fro along the hallways of the classrooms and there was no lack of roughhousing and noise among the students as they enjoyed their break. With a deep frown and sullen expression on her face, Jin Siming frowned deeply as she walked through the crowd. She stopped periodically along the way to avoid getting hit by students rushing out of their classrooms, but no matter how careful she was, disaster still hit.

When she passed the door of a certain class, a girl with waist-length wavy hair suddenly charged out of the classroom. Jin Siming turned sideways, trying to dodge the incoming onslaught, but unexpectedly the girl fell straight into her arms.

The sudden impact made her take two steps back, and she almost hit a pillar behind her before she stabilized herself again.

The girl’s hair rubbed against the underside of her chin and a faint scent of roses tickled the tip of her nose. She hurriedly used all of her strength to push the girl off of her.

The girl looked up at her in a daze, but Jin Siming simply frowned a little and then left without saying anything.

“Classmate, I’m sorry.”

She had taken two steps before the girl behind her finally seemed to come back to her senses and hurriedly apologized.

“Hey, I seemed to know her. Her name is Jin…Jin Si…”

“Jin Siming?”

The student beside the wavy-haired girl asked in surprise, “You know her?”

The wavy-haired girl stared at the figure who had long disappeared into the crowd. Her lips curled up into a smile, “No, I know her as much as you do. That is, I just know her name.”

When Jin Siming returned to the classroom, the first thing she did was explain how she accidentally “vandalized the public school’s property” before walking back to her seat.

However, when she approached her desk, she found a strange boy sitting in her seat. The boy was sitting in her chair, while facing Yao Jin sitting behind him. He was saying something to her with a smile.

She was already not in a good mood after coming back from the bathroom, but seeing this scene she felt as if an unknown nerve was pulled and it only made her even more upset.

So she didn’t think twice as she walked forward with a dark face, her tone a little aggressive as she said, “Get up!”

Fang Yuan is the mood booster of the class, the guy who always livens up the atmosphere when things get too tense. He has a cheerful personality and a good temper, allowing him to get along with anyone. However, no matter how good his temper is, when a dark-faced Jin Siming suddenly yelled at him, even he momentarily panicked and his chest felt like it was suffocating as he couldn’t breathe.

He immediately stood up, his next few words unconsciously softening when he saw Jin Siming’s sharp eyebrows drawn together with a glare pointed at him, “Y-You! Why are you so fierce?! I’m just sitting in your seat….”

Seeing him get up, Jin Siming pulled him to the side to make room for herself to passs by and sat down.

Fang Yuan froze after getting pulled so harshly like this. He wanted to say something, but after receiving a comforting smile from Yao Jin, he simply left.

Jin Siming leaned back, raising her eyes to look at Fang Yuan’s retreating back as she recalled the words she heard in the restroom just now.

Among Yao Jing’s friends, just how many of them are only using her? Like an ATM?

Then she shook her head. She was getting upset over nothing. Someone like Yao Jin is someone she doesn’t need to worry about. Besides, things involving Yao Jin have nothing to do with her.

So she decided to “forget” everything she heard and opened her book for the Chinese Literature class next period.

Suddenly a “clack!” sound came from behind her, as if something had fallen near her feet. She lowered her head to search for the source of the sound and sure enough she saw a pink-colored pen lying on the floor beside her.

“Ah, I dropped my pen, can Classmate Jin pick it up for me?

It was Yao Jin’s voice, but her tone was flat and artificial as if she was telling the other party she had dropped it on purpose and was making them pick it up to give it to her.

If it was like the past, Jin Siming would have rolled her eyes and secretly cursed her in her heart. However, now she doesn’t have any such thoughts floating in her brain. Instead, she simply picked up the pen for her and even took the initiative to do so without additional prompting.

It was after she placed the pink-colored pen on Yao Jin’s desk that she realized what she had done. Her lips pressed into a flat line and she moved to turn back around when Yao Jin grabbed her wrist.

“Classmate Jin’s fingers look very nice, no wonder any pen, no matter what kind, would look good in your hand.”

Yao Jin had her wrist pressed against her desk, studying her fingers carefully as she commented softly.

Jin Siming didn’t know what tricks Yao Jin was up to again, and was prepared to completely ignore her.

However, when she saw Yao Jin’s ruby red lips draw closer and closer to the back of her hand, she suddenly remembered that numb feeling she felt when her hand covered those lips and then was licked by her tongue when they were below the dorms last night.

She blushed suddenly, about to withdraw her hand when Yao Jin suddenly lowered her head and sniffed her sleeve.

Jin Siming’s heartbeat started beating irregularly again, but, before she could react, Yao Jin shook her hand away with an icy expression.

“Who have you been in contact with just now? Why does your body smell so bad?”

Jin Siming was dazed by Yao Jin’s sudden change in mood and was unable to react, “What….smell bad?”

She raised her hand and smelled her own sleeve. But it doesn’t seem to smell bad to her?

“Do you need anything else?”

“Ah?”

“If not, then I’m going to study?”

After Yao Jin finished speaking, she lowered her head and promptly ignored her.

Jin Siming was baffled by her suddenly hot then cold treatment. She raised her eyebrows and turned around angrily.

What’s the matter with her? Crazy woman. It was Yao Jin who started it first, and then she said she smelled bad?

Jin Siming angrily raised her sleeve again to smell it, but she didn’t smell any strange scents and it didn’t smell like the bathroom she just went to either. In fact, there was a nice floral scent to it.

Floral scent….

Jin Siming tried to retrace her steps, thinking back on the gril who bumped into her in the hallway.

It must be her scent?

But this scent is pretty good? Why did Yao Jin have to say it was a bad smell with such a disgusted face? Did she purposely want to find some sort of fault with it?

Jin Siming concluded that Yao Jin’s actions just now were unreasonable.

Meanwhile, Yao Jin, who was frowning behind her, was distractedly flipping through the pages of the book in her hand.

She was feeling irritated, and not for no reason either. It was because she had smelled pheromones that were not her own on Jin Siming’s body and she could tell that it was an Omega too.

Yao Jin doesn’t know how long this pheromone dependency on Jin Siming’s pheromones will last, but so far the other party’s scent was still just as attractive and alluring to her. So when she smells another more pungent scent mixed into these pheromones she craved, she felt extremely disgusted.

Moreover, this type of scent was something that can’t be picked up from casual contact. Only from close contact.

Yao Jin bit her lower lip tightly.

Although Jin Siming is a bit of an idiot, she shouldn’t be so stupid as to be tricked by an Omega’s little tricks and then just simply go along with it, right?

Yao Jin was feeling conflicted when the phone in the cubby underneath her desk vibrated.

She took it out and looked down at the screen and then quickly put her phone away again. When she raised her head up again, a shadow was cast across her face.

Qin Ziqing was blowing up her phone again.

Actually, the other party has been sending her messages non stop these past few days. Tonight, however, she wouldn’t be able to avoid her anymore because Qin Ziqing said she’ll personally send her home.

She and Qin Ziqing have known each other since they were very young. Qin Ziqing’s father and Yao Wei* are best friends and Yao Wei and when Yao Wei divorced, she was determined to start anew with a clean break. And in those early days of building up her business, Qin Ziqing’s father gave Yao Wei a lot of material support. (T/N: Reminder that Yao Wei is one of Yao Jin’s mothers, but she always refers to her by her name instead of by a familiar title like “Mom”)

During that part of her childhood where she was often taken care of by other people, she spent more than half of her time with the Qin family. And at the time, Qin Ziqing had treated her rather well and meticulously took care of her like a real big sister.

During those years of her dark past, Qin Ziqing was the only light in her life.

Their relationship had always been good, but after they differentiated, it began to deteriorate.

She only thought of Qin Ziqing as a dear sister of hers, but Qin Ziqing was not content with that. She wanted more, and she wanted a type of affection Yao Jin couldn’t give to her.

When she first noticed Qin Ziqing’s change in her feelings towards her, she acted as if nothing was wrong and everything was the same. It was because she cherished bond very much, but this type of indulgence only increased the other party’s greed and even intensified their pursuit. It began to interfere with her social life, and even with her personal freedom. After strongly resisting all of her advances, Qin Ziqing finally restrained herself a little and it was not until Qin Ziqing entered the third year of high school and left school for training and college interviews that Yao Jin felt she finally got a chance to breathe.

But after being left alone and free for so long, she has forgotten how to deal with Qin Ziqing’s “restraint”.

Before Qin Ziqing left, they both took the same car to and from school. Now the other party naturally wants to return to the same state as before, but she doesn’t want to agree.

But…Yao Jin knew that any verbal refusals would not work. Qin Ziqing will definitely be waiting for her at the school’s front gate tonight.

Qin Ziqing even directly called Yao Jin to tell her to let the chauffeur, who was supposed to drive Yao Jin home tonight, to not come. She told her she’ll take Yao Jin home herself. Yao Wei agreed, after all, the only person she trusted Yao Jin with 100% was her.

So up until the end of the last self-study period in the evening, Yao Jin was anxious and restless.

She sat in her seat, biting her lower lip as she glanced at Jin Siming who was packing up her things and preparing to leave.

It was ridiculous. She had a lot of “friends”, but the only one she thought of and the only one who was capable enough to help her was Jin Siming.

But she was worried. If Jin Siming went out of her way this time, then she really will get dragged into her troubles. That means, at the very least, Jin Siming will suffer a lot until Qin Ziqing graduates. And it would be because of her.

Jin Siming had finished packing up her things and was about to head home with her bag when she turned around to see Yao Jin hesitantly staring back at her as if she wanted to say something.

She forcibly turned her head away, pretending she didn’t see that look and walked towards the door. Whose fault was it that Yao Jin deliberately provoked her in the afternoon and said she smelled bad? Thinking of that icy expression, Jin Siming unexpectedly felt angry again.

But as soon as she took two steps past Yao Jin’s test, her bag was grabbed.

“What you said last night…..about stepping up for me, does the offer still stand?”
