Yao Jin gave the driver an address and he started the engine. The car moved smoothly down the road.

Jin Siming sat next to the car door and looked out of the car window, leaving a big gap between Yao Jin and the cat in the bag in the middle.

The kitten was very scared, only quietly meowing every now and then from the bag and Yao Jin’s voice softly saying some soothing words to the kitten.

“She seems a little uneasy.” Yao Jin’s soothing words had no effect and the kitten actually meowed louder and even more fiercely.

Jin Siming looked away from the window, turning around to see Yao Jin staring at her pleadingly. She quickly lowered her head and glanced at the blue cat bag and unzipped the flap on the side of the bag.

A fluffy yellow head trembled and popped out from the inside. The little kitten looked left and right when suddenly a hand landed on its head and started stroking its fur lightly. The kitten quickly retracted its head again and bared her teeth to make a hissing sound.

Jin Siming lightly patted the kitten’s head like this a few more times until the little fluff ball grew less wary with her and finally stretched out its small nose to sniff between her fingers. The little kitten slowly got used to her touch and no longer rejected it. After a while, the little kitten even raised its head on its own to bump against her head.

Seeing the little kitten quickly become obedient in Jin Siming’s hands, Yao Jin arched a thin eyebrow, “The kitten seems to like you very much.”

Jin Siming smoothed down the kitten’s fur as she raised her chin proudly: “I’ve always been liked by small animals.”

Yao Jin found her smug face quite amusing and couldn’t help but scooch closer to her: “Really? I wouldn’t have imagined you to have such a skill.”

Perhaps it was because she grew up with many small animals that she received such a buff. When she was a child, she lived at her grandma’s home in the countryside and even the most vicious dog in the village would become well-behaved in front of Jin Siming.

Jin Siming quickly moved back. She was showing off a few seconds ago, but the moment she turned her head and saw Yao Jin’s face so close to hers she quickly shrank back and said awkwardly: “You, why are you so close…”

Yao Jin blinked innocently, a playful smile on her lips: “Ah? Isn’t this a normal distance? Isn’t Classmate Jin being a little too sensitive?”

Jin Siming: “…..”

Jin Siming zipped up the cat bag and turned her head to look out the car again, her mouth set in a straight line as she refused to speak.

The little kitten was in the middle of enjoying a nice massage when it was suddenly shut back into its bag. The little kitten scratched its paws against the flap and meowed unhappily, but Jin Siming didn’t seem to have much interest in playing with it now.

Recently, she’s felt like Yao Jin has been teasing and flirting with her. But perhaps it was just her imagination and she’s just being too sensitive?

The car soon arrived at the destination, and as Jin Siming stood in the magnificent lobby she was suddenly hesitating again.

Yao Jin glanced back at Jin Siming falling behind her, hesitating at the door, and seemed to have seen through her thoughts as she let out a light chuckle, “Don’t worry, there’s no one home.”

With her thoughts seen through, Jin Siming had no choice but to enter. Looking at Yao Jin’s slender back, she licked her lower lip nervously before hurriedly following after her.

After following Yao Jin off the elevator, Jin Siming was a little surprised at how empty and deserted the place was the moment she walked through the door. If Yao Jin hadn’t said that this was her place, Jin Siming would’ve thought this was an empty unit. There is no smell of smoke or fire from cooking, and it didn’t look like a home at all.

And she had only spotted two pairs of slippers when she was changing out of her shoes. Jin Siming concluded that this was not Yao Jin’s actual home, or at least not the home she lived with her family.

She bowed her head, but after thinking for a while, Jin Siming followed Yao Jin into the living room.

The decorations were of Scandinavian style, making the rooms look a lot colder than they were.

“Do you want to drink anything? Juice, soda, or a yogurt drink?” Yao Jin asked as she headed toward the kitchen.

Jin Siming set the cat bag down on the carpet near the soda, unzipping the side of it, “No need, let’s get this little guy settled in first.”

The furry little head popped out again and then carefully stretched out its small paws to carefully tread on the unfamiliar ground in front of it. After glazing around, the little kitten seemed to follow some scent as it turned around and crawled straight towards Jin Siming’s feet. The little kitten stuck itself to her leg and refused to move.

Yao Jin came into the room and witnessed this scene. She tsked, “My little kitten seems to have been abducted by you.”

Jin Siming was distressed, why does even Yao Jin’s cat like to touch her too?

She bent down and picked up the cat. Placing it in front of Yao Jin, she raised an eyebrow and said, “Please, this is your cat. You have to take the initiative to win its favor and only then will it get close to you.”

Yao Jin looked down at the little fluff ball and then slowly, tentatively stretched out a hand to touch it. Perhaps it was because the kitten had been with the two of them long enough because it was no longer as afraid of humans as it was in the beginning. The little kitten even started to take the initiative to get close to her and sniff Yao Jin’s hand.

This was Yao Jin’s first time raising a pet and being actively approached so affectionately the little kitten filled her with a unique sense of satisfaction. Her beautiful eyes were full of wonder and curiosity and all of her attention was focused on the little fluff ball in front of her.

Seeing Yao Jin stare so fixedly at the cat, Jin Siming began speaking: “You need to prepare a litterbox for it. If you don’t have one right now, you can use some sofa cushions or something else as a temporary measure. Also, it’s best for a kitten to drink some goat milk powder or go to a pet store to buy some cat food that’s suitable for young kittens….”

Although Jin Siming herself has never kept a pet, her grandmother loves cats very much and so she knows quite a bit about them.

Yao Jin immediately took out her phone and, together with Jin Siming, they picked out some items for the kitten. They then found a cardboard box and placed Jin Siming’s jacket that was previously used to wrap the kitten as the cushion. Then they filled two hot water bottles with some warm water and placed it in the cardboard box to finalize the temporary cat nest they made for the little fluff ball.

Jin Siming squatted next to the little nest they made and played with the kitten with Yao Jin for a while. She took out her phone to check the time and saw it was almost eight o’clock. She quickly stood up, “Alright, I should head back soon….”

She didn’t know if she had squatted for too long or if it was something else, but when she got up she suddenly felt the room spin around her and her legs went limp as she fell backwards.

Yao Jin saw her fall to the ground and hurried over to help her up, “What’s wrong? Are you okay?”

Jin Siming propped herself up with her hands and said with a weak voice, “I’m fine, I just accidentally tripped and fell down.”

Jin Siming held her forehead in her hands, rubbing her aching temples. She thought the dizziness must be caused by insufficient blood supply to the brain because she’s been squatting for too long. However, after a long while, she not only didn’t get better but her body began to heat up, especially when Yao Jin leaned over to help her. Her sweet scent only intensified her body’s reactions.

Crap!

Jin Siming suddenly thought of something and quickly shook off Yao Jin’s hand that was still on her arm. She quickly got up and walked towards her backpack sitting on the sofa, but before she could take more than two steps the agonizing pain made legs lose strength and kneel down on the carpet.

Yao Jin’s brows were furrowed tightly together and she hurried to her side as she said in a worried tone, “Where are you hurting? Are you sick?”

Jin Siming’s lips trembled and she pointed weakly at the sofa, “Suppressant…in my bag….”

Yao Jin immediately understood the meaning behind her words and quickly got up to search through Jin Siming’s back lying on the sofa.

She turned the backpack inside and out, eyebrows furrowed: “There are no suppressants in here.”

!!!!

Jin Siming was starting to panic. She used her still somewhat clearheaded brain to carefully trace her steps. She then remembered she had placed the suppressant on the desk in her classroom and there should be no more suppressants left.

It’s over, she’s done for. Is she really going to have her rut here….

She bit her lower lip, not daring to continue that line of thought as she stood up and stumbled towards the door.

Yao Jin quickly reached out a hand to grab her, “What are you doing? You’re in no state to go out now, it’s too reckless!”

Jin Siming shook off her hand, “I…I can’t stay here, I need to go back…”

With the remaining consciousness she had left, there was only one thought running through Jin Siming’s brain. And that was to get out of here as soon as possible while she’s still awake, or at least as far away from Yao Jin as possible.

After all, she really didn’t want to, no, she can’t have her rut in front of Yao Jin!!

Seeing Jin Siming desperately trying to leave, Yao Jin grabbed her hand tightly and dragged her back. She said anxiously, “Jin Siming, can you please calm down? It would be more dangerous for you to go out now! There’s a vending machine that sells suppressants downstairs, I can go buy some for you but you must stay here!”

Jin Siming relaxed a little at her words and Yao Jin quickly took this opportunity to drag her back to the sofa. She pressed her to sit down, “Stay here obediently and wait for me.”

She left as soon as she finished speaking. Jin Siming reached out for her the moment she turned around but she was only able to brush the tips of Yao Jin’s hair.

She watched as Yao Jin’s smooth black hair slipped through her fingers and listened as the door closed with a slam. Jin Siming weakly slid down from the sofa, squatting down on the carpet as she hugged her knees to herself.

She doesn’t know how much longer she can hold on. She can only hope that Yao Jin will return as soon as possible.

Yao Jin took the elevator to the first floor, and bought some Alpha-specific suppressants from the vending machine in the lobby before hurrying back upstairs.

When she entered the room, the first thing she noticed was Jin Siming, hugging her knees on the ground, trembling.

She quickly strode over, placing the little fluff ball on the sofa as she took out a suppressant. She reached out another hand to support Jin Siming’s shoulder and prepared to give her the injection herself.

However, in the next moment, Jin Siming suddenly raised her head as she moved closer. Her skin was flushed and even the corners of her eyes were stained red.

She grabbed the wrist that was on her shoulder and pulled Yao Jin into her arms.

Yao Jin hastily placed the hand holding the suppressant on the other shoulder, pushing her away as she widened the distance between them. She bit her tongue hard, forcing herself to remain calm.

She could feel the pheromones slowly escaping Jin Siming’s body. Although the suppressant sticker was still attached to her neck so not many pheromones were escaping, the concentration of pheromones was much higher than usual due to her rut and so even the sticker couldn’t suppress them. If even some of the highly-concentrated pheromones from an S-rank Alpha leaks out, ordinary Omegas will be unable to control themselves and can’t help but present their necks.

Fortunately, Yao Jin’s own rank is not low and her ability to control herself has always been good. She held her breath as she gritted her teeth and ignored her rapid heartbeat. She forcibly pushed down the arousal building up in her as she pushed Jin Siming with all of her strength, “Jin Siming, pull yourself together!”

However, neither her words nor strength seemed to have any effect. Jin Siming’s hand was still tightly pinched around on her wrists and her eyes were unfocused as she leaned towards her neck, muttering something about peaches.

Yao Jin bit her lower lip so hard that it was about to bleed. When Jin Siming leaned forward again, Yao Jin opened her mouth and bit her hard on the shoulder.

“Hiss….”

The pain made Jin Siming gasp and a bit of clarity returned to her eyes. She quickly shrank back from Yao Jin, her face so red that it looked like it was bleeding.

The other party stared at her in a daze, but Yao Jin gritted her teeth and said, “Turn around…I-I’ll give you the injection.”

Jin Siming finally noticed the suppressant in Yao Jin’s hand and quickly let go of her wrist. She reached out for it, “No, I can do it myself.”

However, when she pulled the suppressant out of Yao Jin’s hand, due to her unsteady grip, she accidentally applied too much force and instantly crushed the suppressant.

Shards of broken glass cut open her palm and slowly blood began to trickle out.
