Chapter 34.3 - Flying Dragon Base (3/4)

Yin Yiliu hopped into the hidden corner while the black wolf followed behind impatiently. It didn’t know what new tricks this annoying rabbit was up to, but it was stunned when it saw a faint light in the corner.

When it was about to dash towards the source of the light, it noticed a small human walking out from the corner, with a pair of long and soft ears on her head, which were clearly the same as those of the fat rabbit.

The small human had short hands and short feet like a white ball of dough, with the top of her head barely reaching the height of its mouth. It took cautious two steps back, and the human child who popped out of nowhere took two steps forward.

It couldn’t help but growled threateningly, “Don’t come any closer! What did you do to the fat rabbit?!”

The human child blinked, coiled her long ear with her finger, and said in a soft voice, “I am Tutu. Blackie, don’t you recognize me?” 1

The black wolf could detect the same scent as the fat rabbit on this human milk bun in front of him. They were clearly the same creature, but it couldn’t figure out how a beast could become a human.

“Let’s go.” The little girl’s voice was so soft that the little wolf was afraid that it’d scare her into tears, so it toned down on its fierce expression and looked at her up and down with awe and suspicion.

Yin Yiliu could hear the little wolf doubting about life. Its brain waves were very chaotic at the moment, like it had been terribly shocked. The wolf’s black fur blended into the night sky, only the furry white at the tips of its ears were especially conspicuous.

She reached out her hand to touch the tip of the pup’s ear and rub it in her hand, smiling in satisfaction.

Sure enough, fluff was the best! She had wanted to stroke its fur for the longest time!

The little wolf jerked backward with a look of disbelief on its face. Its big fleshy paws rubbed hard on its own ears as it glared at Yin Yiliu.

This creature was a demon! She must have been a demon!

After touching the ears that she had fervently longed for, Yin Yiliu was in a much better mood. She hummed a song in her baby voice and swayed outside. After some hesitation, the black wolf continued to trail behind her.

The roads were originally lined with elegant street lamps of various shapes, but after the power was cut off, they became mere decorations. It was so dark outside that nothing could be seen clearly.

The black wolf watched as Yin Yiliu sneakily walked somewhere while wrinkling her little face. It didn’t know what she wanted to do, but it kept a close eye on her surroundings.

Yin Yiliu took a large beret from her space and wore it over her head to cover her conspicuous ears. After some thinking, she took out some food and alcohol for sterilization before walking to where they had passed by during the day.

Her mind had been haunted by the face of the child she had seen earlier in the day. If the insect bite wound on his face was left untreated, it was highly possible that he would die from an infection.

She didn’t want to spread kindness recklessly, but she couldn’t bear to ignore those eyes.

When she reached the entrance of the tent, her ears which had been pressed under the beret could hear faint sounds from inside.

She patted the little wolf on the back, placed her chubby finger to her lips, and made a ‘shh’. Then, she crept closer to the tent, and the sounds inside became much louder and clearer.

“You ungrateful bitch! I’m telling you, it’s useless to raise that child!”

Along with the sound of crying, Yin Yiliu heard a somewhat familiar voice urging impatiently, “Faster do it. Don’t ruin the fun.”

She thought that this voice was familiar like she had heard it somewhere before, but she couldn’t recall. She couldn’t help but move closer. Thanks to the dim cigarette fire, she saw the man’s face.

The shirt on the man was unbuttoned as he was leisurely smoking a cigarette at the entrance of the tent.

This person was the arrogant man standing next to the middle-aged man with gray sideburns during the day who had coveted the little wolf. He wagged his neck lazily and glanced inside the tent from time to time.

The woman in the tent was crying so much that her voice had become hoarse. Yin Yiliu couldn’t help clenching her fist and teeth. She lightly poked the back of the black wolf with her finger. “Blackie, please do me a favor.”2

The black wolf was a little annoyed. It didn’t understand why this fat rabbit was being so nosy, but when it saw the fire in her round doe eyes as she begged, it wagged its tail irritatedly and ran out.

Fine. This man had also provoked it during the day, so it’ll consider this as exterminating a pesky bug.

The wolf moved so quickly that the young man smoking only noticed it when its opened mouth was close. His expression changed drastically as he raised his hand to resist its attack.

When the black wolf’s teeth ruthlessly bit off the man’s arm, he wailed in agony and transformed his legs into kangaroo legs. He kicked extremely hard at the little wolf’s abdomen, threw away his severed arm, and ran away without looking back.

The black wolf didn’t expect to be kicked so hard on the stomach. This man’s evolved form resembled that of a kangaroo’s, and his legs happened to be the strongest part of his body. The wolf became agitated and chased after the man.

The people inside the tent got up in a panic. “What’s going on?!”

Just as a man hurriedly came out to check on the situation while putting his pants on, several extremely sharp blades were viciously thrust into his abdomen.

Horrified, the man looked down and saw a little girl, who was only as tall as his thigh, dressed in a white dress. She had a delicate and cute face, but her little hand was stabbed into his stomach.

The woman in the tent screamed in horror. After seeing the man slowly slide down, she gradually quieted down and slumped on the ground.

Her clothes were disheveled, her face was swollen from being beaten, and her gaze was blank.

Yin Yiliu averted her gaze because she couldn’t bear looking at her. She took clean clothes from her space and placed them next to her. “Where is your child?”

The woman shuddered. She slowly covered her face and began crying, progressing from silently sobbing to crying out loud.
