Chapter 5 – Transforming the World

In the Heavenly Dao Dimension, after the vast transformation of void essence into Origin Energy, the Yuan World’s pool of Origin Energy had now possessed nearly 100,000 drops of Origin Energy. 

Before devouring the vortex world seed, the Yuan World’s Origin Energy was only 18,000 drops, but now, because of its advancement to a Minor World, it has surged to over 80,000 drops. How could Mu Yuan not be ecstatic?

His eyes full of joy, Mu Yuan said, “The recent increase in Origin Energy addresses my immediate needs. It’s now time to transform the Yuan World.”

The Yuan World’s Yin, Yang, and the Five Laws were all complete, and the world had advanced to a Minor World. 

A thick chain of laws emerged, intertwining and filling the entire Yuan World. 

In the《The Way of Dao》, there is a saying: “Dao begets one life, one life begets two, two begets three, three begets all.” The Yuan World, which now possessed the harmonization of the Yin, Yang, and the Five Laws, began merging and transforming. The 10,000 Daos slowly emerged onto the Yuan World.

Cold, hot, light, dark, lightning, storm, and other laws and concepts appeared and swirled on the Yuan World, constantly improving the Yuan World. Of course, these newly born laws were extremely weak and couldn’t be compared with the Five Laws. However, as the Yuan World transformed, their power began growing, and sooner or later, they would not be much weaker than the Five Laws. In fact, they may even surpass the Five Laws!

Today, Mu Yuan will create all.

“I tread the Way of Heaven, today I will create the heavens and earth, my words represent the heavens!” 

“The world shall have wind!”

Your words are my command! A chaotic gale swept through the Yuan World, carrying the flow of gas, forming the Yuan World’s climate. Countless gas particles rose into the air, forming an atmosphere, which shielded the entire continent. 

“The world shall have thunder!”

As his words fell, water particles dissipated into water vapor and surged towards the sky, condensing into dark clouds. 

In an instant, the world was shrouded in a rain curtain, and a series of snake-like lightning bolts fiercely struck from the sky.

“The world shall have mountains, rivers, oceans!”

Boom! In two decisive strokes of Mu Yuan’s hand, the earth’s crust shifted and the volcanoes roared. Mountain ranges arose and protruded from the ground, the foundation of the earth continuously transforming and shifting. At the same time, chasmic ravines and valleys were imprinted onto the earth. A manifold of terrains had just materialized: mountains, basins, hills, oceans, lakes…

At the center of the Yuan World, a massive continent with an area of around 400 million square kilometers shook with the movement of the earth. As the continent was relatively flat, the innumerable currents would converge into creeks; the creeks would converge into rivers. In the end, the rivers would surge and flow from all directions, converging into an ocean….

Various organisms and inorganic material flowed and dispersed throughout the Yuan World, laying the foundation for life to flourish!

“The world shall have the moon, sun, and stars!”

Suddenly, the world’s crystal sphere separated itself from the Yuan World and expanded in all directions. A vast dark vacuum was created between the crystal sphere and sky. The vacuum and the sky were separated by an atmosphere, which protected the Yuan World’s continent. 

The Yuan World neatly formed a three-layered sphere: void, vacuum, and continent. 

At the center of the world was an immense continent encompassed by a sky. 

However, there were no celestial bodies in the vacuum. In a thought, Mu Yuan received information from the Heavenly Dao Dimension about the current situation. He suddenly revealed a sheepish smile. It turned out the remaining Origin Energy was insufficient. It wasn’t enough to create all the celestial bodies…

“Ke, let’s first make a smaller sun and moon. As for the sky full of stars, I’ll just use phantom substitutes to temporarily replace the stars. I’ll perfect this world step by step.”

Mu Yuan waved a hand, and suddenly, out of thin air, two celestial bodies with only a diameter of around 5 kilometers appeared in the vacuum. The Yuan World’s Yin, Yang, and numerous other laws related to light surged towards the two celestial bodies, transforming them into the Yuan World’s sun and moon. A blanket of phantom stars covered the sky.

“The dichotomy of day and night, the rotation of the four seasons, rise.”

In an instant, the Yuan World had a day and night cycle just like the Earth. 

As the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, a cycle of spring, summer, autumn, and winter was formed.

In addition, the Yuan World’s sun and moon revolved around the Heavenly Dao’s continent as the Yuan World’s continent was the center of the Yuan world, eternally anchored. 

Finally, Mu Yuan spits out a sentence. “The heavens have 36 layers and the earth has 72 layers.”

A resounding boom sound echoed throughout the world. The heavens (sky) was divided into 36 layers:  the wind layer, the meteor layer, the thunder layer…

Each of the layers was thick and vast. If the inhabitants of the Yuan World wanted to leave in the future, it would be almost impossible.

The earth was also divided into 72 layers. Suffused with magma and rock, the layers had a crushing pressure. The deeper one goes, the more crushing the pressure.

At last, the heavens and earth of the Yuan World gradually regulated themselves through Mu Yuan’s words. This was a step in the direction of what Mu Yuan had envisioned, a world that could sustain life. However, the Heavenly Dao Dimension’s Origin Energy was almost completely depleted. Only a few drops remained.

Mu Yuan, looking at the remaining Origin Energy, smiled bitterly. “Aye, it appears that I still have my work cut out for me. I originally thought the power of the void could give birth to a complete world in a single moment. However, currently, the stars are only phantom substitutes, and I’ve run out of Origin Energy. Forget it, since the Yuan World is currently unable to give birth to life, we’ll make do with it for now. As for the matter about having a sky filled with real stars, I can only address that step by step in the future.”

Mu Yuan’s consciousness wrapped around the Yuan World. Although the world was extremely desolate, possessing no life, Mu Yuan was extremely satisfied. This was the world he created!

With a domineering voice, Mu Yuan declared, “One day, I will make the Yuan World’s name resound through all the worlds. It will become the highest plane of the heavens. All shall surrender to me!”

The Origin Mountain Range, located at the center of the Yuan world, was the largest mountain range in the Yuan World, its radius thousands of miles, accounting for a sixth of the continent. 

A myriad number of peaks, crevices, rolling hills, mountains, and cliffs littered the mountain range. Even more rivers of all sizes flowed from the mountain range to all parts of the continent. Here resides the origin of a countless number of lakes and rivers.

Seen from the Yuan World’s vacuum, it was similar to a massive slumbering dragon.

The peaks in the Origin Mountain Range were like a dragon’s scales, while the valleys acted like the gaps between the dragon scales. At the core of the mountain range was a large mountain, the most majestic and towering mountain in the Yuan World – the Tongtian Mountain[1].

The Tongtian Mountain stood imposingly like a giant sword between the heavens and the earth, on the border of the heavens, submerged in the clouds. Its appearance was due to Mu Yuan’s flash of inspiration. 

While he was fabricating the world, he remembered there were myths and legends from his previous life that contained a mountain that was considered the pillar of heaven. He controlled the earth’s crust and eventually formed the imposing, mighty Tongtian Mountain.

Mu Yuan observed the lofty mountain pierce the sky and established a Heavenly Dao law. If a living being could climb to the peak of Tongtian Mountain, then they could ask the Heavenly Dao one question.

At the belt of the Tongtian mountain, a colossal raging waterfall that started from the sky coalesced the countless rivers, forming a grandeur river that was around ten miles wide and that spanned across half the Yuan World. It was the Tongtian River!

Currently, at the peak of the Tongtian Mountain, stood a figure dressed in white clothes, looking at the vast expanse of the surging, turbulent Tongtian River. He was the Heavenly Dao – Mu Yuan.

Mu Yuan scanned the Yuan World. He saw the setting sun and lightly said to himself, “This world is still so flat, so monotonous. Except for me and the World Tree sapling, the world doesn’t have a single living being. I wish to create everything. Can it actually be considered creating everything if I didn’t create any living beings?! However, my world’s Origin Energy is almost depleted. Hmm… how many living beings can I create with the remaining Origin Energy?”

After pondering for a moment, a spark flashed in My Yuan’s eyes, slapping his palm, he exclaimed, “How could I forget about the World Tree sapling? Although it only absorbed less than 20% of the void when the world was advancing, it has been growing in the void for such a long time. There must be plenty of Origin Energy stored in its body by now. Furthermore, the World Tree sapling’s vitality is so rich that the conditions for creating life have already been met!”

Mu Yuan hurriedly teleported over to the World Tree sapling, which was located in the Heavenly Dao Dimension. 

After the World Tree sapling absorbed the void, it grew to be half a meter tall, and its roots grew thicker. It was rooted in the void above the world’s Origin Energy. In addition, there were two crystal-clear sprouts in the middle of one of its branches!

Mu Yuan chuckled at the World Tree sapling. “Hehe, little sapling, you see, we’re only the ones living in such a vast world. You must be lonely too. As such, let’s have a discussion. I need a few of your leaves to create some living beings. Is that okay? If you’re not speaking, I’ll take that as a yes.”

The World Tree sapling: “…” F*ck.

“Since you’re not speaking, I’ll just pick some leaves. You bloomed two sprouts, so I’ll take two leaves.” After speaking, Mu Yuan extended his arm to pick the crystal-like leaves.

Mu Yuan, feeling the leaves cascading energy and vitality, couldn’t help but sigh. “This one leaf has the energy equivalent of 3,000 drops of Origin Energy. However, the leaf’s vitality is more important to me.”

With one move, Mu Yuan once again arrived at the peak of Tongtian Mountain. Overlooking the endless mountains below, Mu Yuan’s mouth curved into a smile. “Soon, it’ll be full of life. Soon….”
